This one is just for you, to join me on an Introduction to Landscape Astro mini workshop during Matariki, on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th of June for a night under the stars and an afternoon of post processing.
This mini workshop is for West Coast residents only, to kickstart the addictive astro journey, or for those already with a foot in the celestial door to learn new tips, tricks and skills from a local, professional Astrophotographer.

Friday 28
4.30pm
Meet and greet at Riverstone House.
Here we will get acquainted and talk about shooting in manual and what settings are best suited to your gear. We'll also touch on composition, what you hope to achieve and what we can expect for the evening while out in the field.
6.00pm
Head off to a location with clear skies that will be determined on the day. Here we will shoot the rising Milky Way using different techniques to suit your abilities such as single images, stacks and panoramas.
10.00pm

Saturday 29

Meet at Riverstone to set up laptop or desktop. I will then give a demonstration of how I edit an image from start to finish.

Mirrorless or DSLR camera

Lens - A wide prime is best, between 14mm to 24mm, f/1.4 to f/2.8 ideally, but f/4 will work if your camera has high ISO capabilities. Please speak to me about loaning a lens if you have nothing suitable.
